You know those places you visit when you get a day or two to leave town? A few hours drive, just over that hill, and you see those familiar landmarks that make you feel like you’re well on your way. That’s how I feel about this location. My family and I have been coming here for nearly as long as I’ve lived in Washington. It’s a beautiful place, and if you know the right time to go, it’s downright magical.

When some of the plans for this elopement changed as weather changed drastically and looking for private areas was paramount, we found luck time and again, and the whole day just turned out perfectly. We drove through the forest, looking for a spot I remembered that was full of huge ferns, moss, and filtered the sunlight just perfectly. I’m so glad they trusted me, because I couldn’t have been happier with how these all turned out. It set the stage for a beautiful afternoon.
