A Treasure Hunt

One of the best lessons I've learned in my business over the past 1.5 years, is something that has come to light only over the past few months.
Be yourself. Embrace it. Find those with likeness. Seeking valuable kinship will be defining and comforting.

I started my business looking up to other photographers, studying their work, their business, and connecting all that I could. But that was something like paddling in the middle of the sea for me, draining, exhausting, and lacking in much joy for an introvert like me.
It was great for my business to connect with local photographers, but to continue futile efforts to build relationships that simply didn't connect was not.
Finding what was best for me, seeking the styles and aesthetics that appealed to me, and simply doing what I love, not what I thought others would love, or what others already did.

So when we started this morning with a yummy on-the-go breakfast and coffee, followed by beautiful scenery on our drive, I hadn't expected things to fall into place so seemlessly. I am thankful for my ever supporting husband and family, friends, clients, and new friends!

So after feeding my creative soul, I picked up these beautiful fabrics and connected with some unique people. Then, I stumbled upon this incredible list that everyone should read.
